Trivia

Kenya's original design

The picture Kenya's design was inspired by

  • Kenya was made to take Drake's place, believing that by the next generation of trainers, years later he would have retired or passed away.
  • Kenya is a modern English name derived from the country name which was derived from the name of a mountain, probably from Kiinyaa, the Wakamba tribe's name for the mountain, meaning "mountain of the ostrich," because the mountain is said to have certain features of the ostrich when it is snow-covered.
  • Sabana is a Chamoru name meaning "grass-covered mountain; hilly area."
